On Friday, June 15, my grandparents, parents, cousins, aunt and I flew out of Atlanta to Tokyo, Japan. Our family spent four nights each in Tokyo and Kyoto. We visited Meiji Shrine, Harajuka, Shibuya Crossing, Yanaka, the fish market, Nezu Shrine, Kamakura, Daibutsa Temple, The Golden Pavillion, Tenryu-ji Temple, and Nijo Castle. We watched sumo wrestling and martial arts, participated in a tea ceremony, hiked Mt. Kurama, biked along Kamo River, got beaten by a monk, tried on kimono, slept on futons, and met two geisha. We had an amazing time, and I was lucky enough to capture many of those memorable moments in photos! Here are a selection of my photos from Japan!
